“The impetus for Olha Fedoruk's creative beginnings was the environment in which she grew up, the ancient town of Sudova Vyshnia, L'vivska region. Her first creative impulses arose out of her awareness of the world around her as well as her world within. Throughout her work, the artist utilizes a particular philosophy that affords her the opportunity to free herself of any conventions and to create clear truthful images, sometimes dramatic and sometimes idealized. And always, at the heart of each of Olha Fedoruk's pieces lies a symbol, an element which draws the viewer to an understanding of a deeper mystery.”
Oksana Fedoruk-Terlecky, art critic
